[01. - 05.10.2018] Bots2ReC meets IROS

Bots2ReC IROS Collage

In the first week of October, the IROS 2018 conference was held in Madrid as one of the leading conferences in robotics and artificial intelligence. The entire event was under the vision "Towards a robotic society". Among the 3000 robotics fans were three developers of the EU project Bots2ReC, who presented their project at one of the 150 booths. Over these days, the developed concepts and future challenges within the project could be discussed with the expert public and analyzed in detail. All in all a successful event for the marketing of the project idea and a good source of inspiration for further technological developments.

[30.01.2018] Press meeting for the media in the European region

The regional representative of the European Commission located in Bonn has invited the Bots2ReC project to present the project to a wider public. The Bots2ReC team organized a press meeting at RWTH and presented the project to regional camera teams and journalists from eu-regional and scientific newspapers and radio stations.

After a presentation of the project motivation, the consortium and our main development steps, we demonstrated a mobile platform used for the sensor development and established a live stream to our prototype, currently in operation at the facilities in Barcelona.

A first report (in German language) can be found here:

[22.11.2017] Presentation of Bots2ReC at the European Robotics Week 2017

The Bots2ReC team presented the project during the European Robotics Week 2017: The project had a booth during the exhibition at the Committee of Regions in Brussels on 22nd of November for the “environment” topic. It was on the same the first occasion to show our new project video, giving insights into different aspects of the project and to present 1:10 scale models of the prototype for an easy explanation of the prototype.

The exchange with EC representatives (for example for the topic of digitalization in construction industry) and an video interview for the social media publication were excellent opportunities to present the project to a wider public.
